Key Instant Recall Facts
Key Instant Recall Facts (or KIRF) are aspects of mathematics that are deemed as necessary to master as they underpin many other areas of the maths curriculum. The aim is for children to be able to recall these facts instantly by the end of each year. They also aim to provide the children with necessary life skills, such as telling the time.
I know the multiplication and division facts for all times tables up to 12 x 12
I can recall square numbers up to 12 and their square roots
I can identify prime numbers up to 20
I know decimal bonds to 1 and 10
I can find factor pairs of a number
I can recall metric conversions
