School Council

School Council

What is it?

School Councils are democracy in action.

The School Council of Blackmore Primary School consists of two representatives from all classes from Reception to Year 6. The Council meet regularly to express the views of their class members and to help the headteacher to make our lovely school an even better place in which to thrive.

The election process for School Councillors takes place during the first two weeks in September each year. It is a secret ballot, in which every class member votes.   The pupils who wish to run present their speeches to the whole class and the two people who receive the most votes in each class will be elected.

Details of our newly elected School Councillors for 2022 - 2023 will be uploaded to this page soon.
